Music is an integral part of Radio Phoenix's programming. In a given week, we air an average of 100 hours of music, much of it by independent and unsigned artists from various genres. We report all current music aired on the station to College Music Journal’s (CMJ) Top 200, Hip Hop, RPM (Electronic/Dance) and New World charts. CMJ is read by many influential music executives, radio station programmers, and retail managers here in the Valley as well as nationwide.
We also report and pay a royalty for all music played on our station to ASCAP, BMI, SESAC and Sound Exchange for those recordings represented by any of those organizations.
If you are an Arizona-based musician, band or spoken word artist, or represent an Arizona-based record label or promote Arizona artists, feel free to send your music links to localmusic(at)radiophoenix.org.
If you are a US-based or international musician, or are a representative for a record label, your music should be directed to our Music Director at music(at)radiophoenix.org.
All other types of music submissions – MP3, links, etc. – can be sent via email to the music director listed above (or you can use the email form below). However, be aware that we receive a high volume of these requests and your message may not be read or returned. Following up after a few weeks is always a good idea.
If you are interested in having us consider your music for airplay on Radio Phoenix, you can mail a CD with a list of suggested songs for review to:
